A trip to the Solomon Islands

The Solomon Islands are a nation of hundreds of islands in the South Pacific many of which have barely been discovered by the general public. If you are looking for a holiday where you really can get away from it all and enjoy time without the interruptions of social media and phone calls then the Solomon Islands are the perfect setting.
These islands are laid-back, welcoming and often surprisingly untouched. From World War two relics scattered in the jungle to leaf-hut villages where traditional culture is alive, there’s so much to explore that you certainly will not be bored. The scenery is like something you see on a David Attenborough documentary with lagoons, volcanic islands and emerald forests all on offer.
The Soloman Islands are not a place for luxury resorts but if you love the outdoors and are not afraid of a bit of exploring then you will not be disappointed. There is a number of different outdoor activities that you can do such as diving, rock climbing and surfing.
With less than 25,000 people visiting each year, these Islands have so much to offer. Do not expect to be hooked up to the WiFi unless you are in one of the larger cities, but look forward to the time where you really can get back to the basics.
