Short breaks for families

In the UK love a good beach holiday. Often, as soon as we see we are in for a warm few days, we pack up the car and head over to the nearest seaside resort, whether it be for the day or a short break.  Resorts such as Blackpool, Newquay, Barmouth, and Weston Super Mare are typical seaside towns that continue to draw thousands of tourists year upon year. As long as there is sun, sand and sea, the tourists will come.

If you are looking for a family holiday for a weekend or week away then you may decide to book a hotel or go camping in or near one of these seaside towns. If you fancy something that offers a lot of onsite entertainment come rain or shine, then you may opt for somewhere such as Butlins or Pontins. These are two of the largest family holiday resorts and they are situated all over the UK. They have resorts in beach locations as well as in shore and there’s plenty of activities for all the family. Minehead Butlins offers a wide range of activities for children and adults of all ages and has a golden sandy beach literally a stone’s throw away from the resort entrance.

These type of holidays often cost a bit more than staying in a caravan on a camp site but you will find that you spend less when there as most activities are included in the price you pay.
